Agriculture Minsiter Dr Abdur Razzak has said rice at Tk 10 per kg will be provided for seven months instead of five months.

Besides, the village police will get rice at Tk 10 per kg round the year.

The food minister made this remark at a press conference at the secretariat of the ministry concerned on Wednesday. The conference was attended by Agriculture Secretary Nasir Uddin.

Dr Abdur Razzak said, “A meeting will be held on October 31 regarding the price fixation of paddy and the ways of motivating the farmers. I have also talked to the premier in this regard.”
